Urdu problem in android and its solution

| |

thats true guys... andriod does not support Urdu, arabic or Farsi. i would love to have urdu in my andriod phone but we have to wait i guess. I love my language unfortunately our people are not developing enough software and enthusiasm to promote the language (URDU).

Well this issue surely needs to
highlighted.How could android
stand a chance as a universal
mobile phone platform if doesnt
add support for other
languages.keepping adding to this
thread so that the issue gets
noticed. A lot of phones have these
issues but the their firmware is
closed,though android supposed to
be a major OS in the mobile space
so we definitely need urdu suuport
there
I have used cyan's 6.0 and
currently on a ported mt3g froyo
from tmobile. But the thing is that
they are not speedy enough for
daily use for older phones like the
g1.plus there's the font issue as
well.even with the joined letters
and right to left orientation the
fonts are not the most elegant to
look at . I m not sure if sms
reading n composing are supported

Android phones launched
specially for Pakistan (and Middle
East region) have Urdu language
and input support, but some
phones don’t. Over the past few
Here is tutorial for unsupported android phones where u can read sms in Urdu type in urdu and most spacially browse in urdu

It is pretty easy to start typing in
Urdu on an Android phone. Follow
these simple steps below:

to GO Keyboard.
3. After you enable it, go to “Input
Settings” in the app and then go to
“Input language settings”.
4. Scroll down till you see Urdu (in
Urdu font).
5. Check the box. A popup box will
open to download the language
files. Tap the ‘Done’ button.
